The full moon’s silvery beams
Free fall through a clear night sky
Upon the earth below, setting
Streets, houses and gardens aglow.

Peeking through my window, the
Moonlight rests upon my pillow.
And on the still night air the
Sound of waves crash and boom.

I awake not to moonlight but
To the dawning of a new sunrise.
And still, yet more, the sound of
The waves as they crash and boom.

I walk east towards the coastline
To see the sea heave wave after
Wave towards the cliffs and within
Each wave’s spray: a glimpse of rainbow.
