Just A Little Kindness

Sometimes, some things are better said as a poem rather than as a piece of prose…

JUST A LITTLE KINDNESS

Never you mind
All about you:
Being kind
Helps not just
Other folk but
Helps you too.

Like luscious jam
Oozing over toast
Or honey dripping
Onto fingers gripping
A cooked crumpet:
Kindness spreads
To gladden the
Giver’s heart.

Maybe, folk may
Notice the deed.
Maybe, they won’t,
But never you mind:
It is in the giving
The giver is blessed.
